Service Uniform (Class "A" and "B").
Fall '42 - Summer '45

The standard service uniform consisted of an olive drab service (OD) coat, wool trousers, web belt w/ enlisted (open face) buckle, shirt (OD wool or khaki cotton) & tie (OD shade 3), garrison cap, socks (OD or tan), and Type II service shoes (low quarter shoes were an optional purchase). The Class B uniform is essentially the Class A without the jacket.
